Special Heritage Shorthorn Semen Sale

3/1/2026: We want to thank all of the buyers for our final old Heritage Shorthorn semen sale. All we have left is a few units to breed our cows this year. There were buyers from 9 states, and over 500 units (straws, ampules, and Magic Wands) of semen were quickly sold in this sale.

Over the last 15 years we have been able to provide opportunities for buyers in over 30 states to purchase old Heritage Shorthorn semen and to use it in their own breeding programs. It is unfortunate that certain breeders of Heritage /(Native) Shorthorns continue to hoard thousands and thousands of units of old Heritage Shorthorn semen depriving other Heritage Shorthorn breeders of an opportunity to use it to improve their herds &/or produce new combinations of Heritage Shorthorn bloodlines. It has always been our belief that “a rising tide lifts all boats” and there is no question that interest in Heritage Shorthorns is on the upswing providing more incentive for the utilization of quality older genetics.

Depending on the bull, some of the semen is in ampules while the majority is in straws. Available semen is in very limited amounts and all sales are final.

Semen will be grouped and periodically shipped to Hoffman’s Breeders in Logan, Utah at no charge. Sale will last until everything is sold.
